¨From the Rabbi’s Study¨

The reconciliation between Judah and Joseph and by extension all the sons of Jacob is one of the most if not the most dramatic and emotional event in all of the Torah. More importantly it is a great teaching moment. By this time Judah understands the gravity of the moment and Joseph recognizes how the family came full circle. In fact Chazal tell us that the Torah has hinted to this conclusion since the very beginning of Bereishis. The power of teshuva (repentance) is so prevalent throughout this Parsha that one is unable to leave this story without changing oneself and by extension an entire family.
