¨From the Rabbi’s Study¨

This past year we transited from a society in fear of a virus to a community beset with controversy over judicial reform in Israel and the indictment of a former United States president. Both in Israel and the diaspora the Israeli and American democratic systems have been pushed to the brink. With it has come polarization, misunderstandings, and violence. While politics has never been a sport for the meek, we are experiencing unprecedented (at least in modern times) fractiousness. Our hope this year as we pray for a year of peace and health is that we turn down the rhetoric and turn back the clock to moderation and compromise as we protect the ethical principles of a moral society.
