¨From the Rabbi’s Study¨

Shavous, the one and only Yom Tov not associated with a specific mitzvah is actually the most mitzvah centric of them all. For it is on this day that we celebrate the entire Torah and the Sinai experience. The revelation at Mount Sinai is the epicenter of Jewish belief; more so than creation. This is where and when the world begins to accept the moral and ethical values emanating from the Torah. We therefore proclaim Chag Someach on this the festival and anniversary of the giving of the Torah to the Jewish nation.
