¨From the Rabbi’s Study¨
We begin the three week period beginning with the 17th day of Tamuz on Shabbos (Sunday observed) and concluding on Tisha B’Av. During these days we observe certain customs reserved for mourners as we mourn the loss of the Temple in Jerusalem over 2000 years ago. These laws and customs have helped us to remember the past and resolve for the future. By observing this period we never lose sight of the importance of our people the nation and the Torah.
